It’s been more about health, hair, and skin this month! Check out my thoughts on my August 2016 Favorites after the jump!
I like to shave with an electric razor when I can. Sometimes, getting an ultra-close shave is what I’m after so I reach for a conventional cartridge razor. I used EOS Shave Cream for a long time, but despite really enjoying its texture, it really didn’t do much for me. I’d experience the same irritation with it as without it. Recently, I switched to this unscented, dye-free shave gel and have been enjoying good results.
I’m taking these to help offset some insane shedding I was dealing with. I started to notice a decrease in shedding around the end of week three of taking it as directed. I am hoping to notice accelerated growth, too. My nails were already pretty reliable, so have not noticed a significant impact on that front. I am not a medical professional and am not qualified to dispense medical advice. You should research supplements and talk to your doctor to figure out if adding a Biotin supplement is right for you. Some acne-prone individuals experience breakouts related to increased Biotin consumption, so keep an eye on that if you are. Fortunately, I am not.
Psssst, there’s someone else. I don’t know why I waited so long to try Batiste. I was wrong. Batiste has really great oil absorption without making me look like I rubbed my hair on a chalkboard.
These scrubs have been a favorite before – they’re gentle and effective, and you get a generous amount for an inexpensive price. I like to stock up at Ulta when they’re BOGO 50% off. There’s a variety of scents; Coconut Lime is my top pick. Most recently, I tried Italian Mocha – it was okay, but it couldn’t compete with Coconut Lime.
I received a sample of this Skinfix fragrance free (!) Ultra Rich Hand Cream a couple months ago, misplaced it, and just found it at the beginning of August. I’ve got a new winner for hand cream. It really is unscented – my Eucerin is, too, but it is a bit thin for a hand cream. I apply once daily, usually at my desk at work, to keep my hands happy. I generally prefer unscented anyway, but it’s especially important in a professional setting. If you need to shake hands (ugh), you don’t want to leave that person’s hand smelling perfume-y.
