Notice anything different?
I did do something with my hair (a cut, nothing exciting), but that’s not what I’m talking about. You couldn’t have known that.
After 2/3 of forever…surprise! I’ve gotten a facelift!
By, “I,” I mean the site, of course. I’ve never had cosmetic surgery.
I have a wonderful new logo and social presence (if you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook you’ll see it flows over to those platforms, too) thanks to my wonderful graphic designer. I communicated my vision and boy, did she deliver! She has a blog that I read and follow, too, but is doing some housekeeping for herself; I’ll share her details when she gives me the green light.
Surprise! The glorious new Beauty Skeptic logo!
I’m excited! I won’t apologize for it. Tara from Exit-6 nailed it.
Originally, I planned on this just being a branding update – new logo, give the blog a ‘face,’ and brand identity etc. I was so inspired upon seeing the final-final design two nights ago that I decided to poke around and check out my options. Lo and behold, I found some tools I liked, so I threw the rest of the new look together.
I’ve heard your feedback about the light-on-dark being a little difficult to read, so I’ve changed that. The layout is also a fully-responsive mobile-friendly layout; I’ve tested it both on my phone and tablet and am satisfied with its behavior. This is the first time I’ve executed a layout change since I’ve had content, though, and it is my hope to enhance your experience, not hinder it.
I welcome additional feedback on the new look and feel of the site. If something is throwing off your experience, let me know either by commenting here or shooting an email to beautyskeptic (at) gmail (dot) com.
As always, thanks for reading and for your support. <3
