February 2016 Favorites
1.Pantene Pro-V Stylers Max Hold Mousse, $7 / 2. Coastal Scents BR-B-S03, $5
3. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow, $5
This is the shortest favorites I’ve ever done. February has been impossibly draining so I really haven’t spent that much time playing with beauty products. It’s been an unprecedentedly demanding month (at ye olde day job); I basically get up, go to work, come home, do more work, make and eat food, shower, dry hair, sleep. On weekends, I do…you guessed it, more work, and veg out. Here’s the few things that earned their places as my February 2016 Favorites, though!
So, speaking of drying hair – because winter is blow-dry season for me, I use more product. My hair got back to being really long – that happens when you go without a haircut for 8 months (Last time was so disappointing) – and too troublesome for me to keep up with. On top of being a general pain in the ass, it also becomes weighed down and flat, which isn’t a great look for me. This Pantene mousse from the drugstore was purchased after Capitol Hill Style mentioned it in a post (and I trust her). For an under $5/can product, this stuff kicks ass. It isn’t comparable to Big Sexy Hair Root Pump, but it IS good for day-to-day…and for the price.
The Coastal Scents BR-B-S03 from the Elite Set has been saving my lazy life this month. Because my skin was (is still) having a tantrum most of the month, I did not wear much more than my Look Awake makeup. This brush is large enough to sweep a neutral shade across my lid in one motion. Anything to simplify my mornings.
This brow pencil is from Korea, hence the name that doesn’t read quite so well in English. That said, it is invaluable for mornings (read: most of them, lately) short on time. I love Dipbrow, but this is fast and easy to use and is foolproof. Western brands (including Anastasia) are coming out with similar products mimicking this pencil’s unique shape, but I’m really not willing to pay $20+ when there’s something for $4-7 (shipped!) that works well for me.
