Even though I’m not blown away by the big brands’ holiday mega sets, the approaching holidays mean that Sephora tends to have a lot of interesting stuff (like the Bite duo minis).
During my routine browsing, I came across the Sephora Glitter Happy Brush Set.
Sephora Glitter Happy Brush Set
Featuring six brushes with rosy handles and a cute (what appears to be) acrylic holder stand with rosy glitter embedded in it. Going at $85, it is not an inexpensive gift, but it is pretty and at least somewhat practical (the third brush from the left looks like it wants to be a blending brush, but I think the bristles might be a smidge long for controlled blending – but that’s a preference thing, that doesn’t make it bad).
But doesn’t it look familiar?
I can’t help but be reminded of the rosy brushes from Real Techniques premium Bold Metals collection.
This is the contouring brush from that collection, and I think the brushes in the Sephora Glitter Happy Brush Set are particularly reminiscent of the handle shape and color. The Sephora set lacks a contouring brush, but I can’t help but think they took queues from the Pixiwoo’s luxe line.
I won’t boo Sephora for the style mimicry – the brushes are very chic. The set includes the following bushes:
- Blush brush
- Pointed foundation brush
- Blending brush
- Pointed concealer brush
- Allover shadow brush
- Lip brush
For me, I don’t know that it would be a great value – I don’t like pointed foundation brushes, and I have more than enough lip brushes.
I haven’t had the chance to check my local Sephora to see if they have these in person, but if you’re shopping for for a beauty fan who, “has everything,” this might be a good thing to check out. Or, you can treat yourself to some pretty tools, if you’re so inclined.
