Damn September, sneaking up on us. You can check out the details on my August 2015 favorites after the jump.
I like to wear fragrance, but since my husband is super sensitive to fragrances (and, for that matter, I’m so picky about them), I don’t bother much. What little I own(ed – three rollerballs) often bother him so they sit with relatively infrequent use. On a recent Sephora trip, I smelled philosophy’s Fresh Cream lotion just because and was like, “Whaaat, I need this!” but as someone who prefers unscented lotion, I looked for and successfully found a bottle of EDT. I got a sample to see how it wore on me (very well!) and to see if it could coexist with my husband; to my delight, it doesn’t give him a headache. I ended up buying it from Ulta due to a 5x point promotion. It’s $38 for 2oz at either Ulta or Sephora. TL;DR it smells like whipped cream and is subtle and lovely.
I’ve talked about this foundation and am still happy with it. It wears well on me, doesn’t oxidize oddly, and is easy on-the-go.
In case you missed last Monday’s post on this – its a bit of a splurge but if you can afford it I highly, highly recommend this brush cleaner. I can’t say enough good about it. A little goes a long way and it really makes a huge difference in cleaning-as-you-go.
Not glamorous, but hair removal counts as beauty. This is similar to Tend Skin, and while I’ve never used Tend Skin, this is a far more economical alternative. I have noticed a difference, using it after shaving as well as every other day thereafter – I prefer not to use daily due to the alcohol content. They sell it in bottles, too, but I find the roller ball more convenient. I bought mine from Sally Beauty but it is cheaper on Amazon.
