Details on my July 2015 Favorites after the jump!
I’m very picky about hand cream. I don’t want something heavily fragranced, but a lot of the unscented options have a peculiar odor that I don’t necessarily want lingering on my hands either. Conversely, when it is summer I want All Coconut Everything. No idea why, call it a neurosis. I picked this up in Ulta and have been using the hell out of it. A pea-sized amount of this mildly-coconut-scented hand cream keeps my hands happy for hours. It absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy, but my hands still feel good and moisturized for hours.
Sometimes, giant bottles of shower items (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) are more cost effective but the bottles I like to buy are bigger than my shelves or shower caddy. These inexpensive, reusable plastic bottles help me keep my shower organized. I’ve been using these ones for years now and they’ve held up well. The tops can twist-lock once depressed, so they can be transported. Now wouldn’t it be nice if more personal care companies adopted Method’s approach (bag refills) so you could use bottles that suit your space but still have the products you love?
I shared swatches of this on Wednesday. I’m not really buying into the whole magical mermaid 2015 hype BUT this shadow is majestic. I haven’t figured out my favorite way to wear it, yet, but it is so damn pretty. Complete impulse buy, I’ll admit, but it is lovely to look at.
The first time I used this, I hated it – and that’s because I thought you needed to use it in the same way as a, ‘traditional,’ mousse – you know, golf-ball-sized dollop in your hand and then distribute? A traditional mousse this is not. This is meant to be sprayed directly at the areas you wish to volumize. Doing it the traditional way left me with awkward, stiff hair. Doing it the right way gives me lasting volume, hold, and texture that is not to be messed with. I might actually be willing to pay full price for this (if I had to…which I don’t, because you can always find it on sale somewhere).
